CLASSROOM MACRO PLAN    I teach grades 6-8 Art. At each grade level, the curriculum is 100% Texas Essential Skills and Knowledge (TEKS) aligned. My goal in teaching art is to instill a love and appreciation for Art using different medias I also want the students to be able to identify an artwork, identify the artist, and judge a piece of artwork.

I also teach the students identified with dyslexia. I follow the steps and Procedure of the Dyslexia Handbook Procedures Concerning Dyslexia and Related Disorders. I also use the Dyslexia Teacher Academy Notebook.

GRADING AND LATE WORK PRACTICES    I follow the district grading policy. For late work, I follow the district late work policy. I will accept late work after the due date if there are extenuating circumstances.

RE-TEACH PRACTICES    Using the Madeline Hunter Teaching Model, I utilize every opportunity to re-teach assignments when individuals or classes struggle with specific concepts. There is re-teach in the classroom everyday. Students also may have many opportunities to improve their grades by doing extra projects for extra points.
