Classroom MACRO Plan      I teach 5th grade Math, Reading, Spelling, Handwriting and English/Language Arts.  The curriculum follows TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) guidelines.  My goal is to give students an opportunity to learn and grow and feel successful in what they do. 

 

Grading and Late Work Practices      I follow the district grading policy and will accept late work from students.  I will give students every opportunity to turn in class work or homework but I also expect them to turn work in promptly after an unexcused absence. 

 

Re-teach Practices

 

I will re-teach assignments when a student or group of students struggle with a specific concept.  Many re-teach lessons occur in the classroom every day.  Additional re-teach opportunities are available during tutorials from 3-4 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. Improving a grade may be in the form of correcting or redoing an assignment for a maximum grade of 70.
